Special Dragon Hunt Edition

The We Rule special event is a dragon hunt, not just any dragon hunt but one for six different dragons. You have to plant dragon orchids, lure the dragons and catch them within four hours.

Once you catch six dragons you earn the crystal lair. Catch six more, you earn the crimson lair. But it’s not just any six dragons, you have to catch one (or two) of each of the purple, orange, green, emerald, ruby and crystal dragons.

You get two nets, a free one that may or may not catch dragons (odds are, based on twelve tries and two catches, it won’t) and a magic net that costs 1o mojo (per dragon) that does. In the end, expect to spend about $20+ worth of mojo to complete the quest.

If you want to try the free net, try it on the purple dragons first they seem to be more easily caught than the others. And the more dragons you catch and send to others the more you seem to get in return, which can up your chances. If you don’t want to spend mojo on dragon catching, try to catch as many as you can with the free net now, and wait until the last couple of days for the dragons you don’t catch.

The odds of your actually catching a dragon with the free net are pretty slim, which is why they can charge such a steep premium for the magic net (which you can use once and once only).

If, however, you want to shoot for the crimson lair you need to capture six dragons twice, so I wouldn’t wait. ngmoco:) claims the crimson lair will be the most valuable building ever, (and it probably will be for another three or four weeks. But based on my experience with the game, there will be a building with a higher yield around Thanksgiving if not earlier. The life of highest yield buildings seems to be two to three months.

Expect to see the first building that costs a million+ coins to appear sometime before Christmas.

Don’t forget. I’m still on sabbatical to work on the ebook version of the Grimoire until mid September. In the meantime, check out the new Gifts and Goals chart.

I’m a bit confused. After 4 hours, do I try to catch the dragon, then replant and wait another 4 hours? So one chance every 4 hours?

as usual, ngmojo’s instructions are entirely to scant and confusing !!!!
the whole process is hit or miss until you can figure out how it’s meant to work.
dragons do appear…. have not yet figured out what really releases them or the connection with the planting of orchids. to boot, when one logs in to play one has dragons flying about along with notifications of orders recieved, rents due, gift cart loaded… and if you try to tap a dragon you end up setting off any number of other actions ! then of course the game crashes or freezes… real cool !!! try getting the gist of the proceedure to follow amidst such chaos and confusion.
when they say that the free net is random, so be it ! no action on your part seems to alter the outcome anyway !
then the dragons reappear, disappear, reappear and pooof…. are gone for good…
    all rather confusing !
but i guess that if enough people spend enough mojo on these costly quests, ngmojo will keep serving them up.
some of us need to use our hard earned money on feeding ourselves and keeping a roof over our head, others can spend illimited amounts of mojo to complete quests !
    c’est la vie !!!!!!

The purple, orange and green dragons can be caught with the free net, but you have to try to catch a lot of them. The emerald, ruby and crystal are very difficult to catch with the free net. The emerald is far easier to catch than the ruby or crystal. Carol and I have both seen multiples of the ones we have caught but have yet to see the one each is missing.

Plant the orchid and check in every hour or two for dragons. As soon as one blossoms, plant another. They tend to appear most often right after you plant and right after you harvest.

If you catch all 6 you earn the free lair. I am assuming you will have to catch all six over again to earn the crimson lair.

divercity7 :: even if you win and get the most dragons you still end up having to spend more mojo than you will receive as a prize. Another terrible spin on a cool idea. I was pumped at first, but now am frustrated. I don’t spend mojo and don’t plan on it. Wish I had another way to have fun with We Rule.

Does anyone know how much the crystal dragon lair is worth yet? I’m just trying to figure out if this is actually worth it…..

Still working on it. Carol and I have found all six between us, but each is missing one dragon. i’m hoping they don’t play it this way deliberately.

I’m really wondering if all this begging for mojo stuff is eventually going to backfire. In this bad economy, people only have so much disposable income to blow on mojo.
