Habitats for the wee folk

Building releases continue to be slow, which is fine with me, but it limits the material I can write about. The fairies must have grown tired of the disproportionate elf representation because three new fairy items appeared this week.

The fairy tree residences caught my attention as yet another in a string of short term high yield properties. The cost twice as much as ruby groves but produce 150cp every hour on the hour. Other residences in this series include the Chinese, Japanese, Mayan and Persian residences.

You can stack and arrange some residences to produce a variety of interesting patterns, or simply fill otherwise empty realms.

The number of residences you can install vary from item to item. You can install only 50 Chinese, Japanese and Mayan residences but as many as 180 candy cane and fairy tree houses.

Why do I like them? I think any player looking to reach L30 quickly should give them a thought if you are willing to spend time with the game. If you check in three times a day like me, their value drops (although they still outperform other income generating properties). But if you check in every hour or two the coins and experience adds up quickly.

The levels between 25 and 30 can be frustrating to players. In the past you will have been able to climb levels quickly, but now you need hundreds of thousands of experience points to advance. Once you reach L30 you grow more accustomed to the slower pace, but those intermediate levels can leave you impatient to level up.

Find a realm with nothing in it and devote it to residences. You should get your north realm at L25 so this would be a good one. Add a three or four at every opportunity. By the time you have a dozen, check in every hour or so to harvest. Don’t try for pretty, try for experience points. The more you add, the more quickly the points and coins pour in.

The cabañas also have value because they are very cheap and take up almost no space. But they only turn over every three hours.

This doesn’t mean you should ignore ruby groves because they take longer to mature. You will earn slightly more when you can’t back to the game because of sleep or all-day training sessions at work.

If nothing else think of all those homeless cupids and fairies you will be helping out. You won’t get the back-breaking satisfaction of volunteering with Habitats for Humanity, and the elves and cupids won’t thank you because they don’t show their faces. But you will earn brownie points in We Rule’s digital heaven.

It has been slow, but in a way a nice break from the event craziness. I’ve just been churning my XP and I just hit 75 last night…
